In overall, SBE16 in Thessaloniki, dealing with a broad range of topics related to sustainability, all of which are of great concern regardless of the geographical location, will provide an international forum, where researchers from various countries will meet to discuss the different aspects of sustainability in the building sector and the synergies among them.

The topics of the conference refer to both technical and socio-economic issues, range from the building materials scale to the urban scale and explore the synergies among the main axes of sustainability in the building sector. In this context, not only will parameters of each issue be addressed, but also the interrelations among the various dimensions examined are expected to be investigated. Specifically, the topics of the conference are the following:
