Thessaloniki SBE 19

With great pleasure we announce the forthcoming conference SBE19 Thessaloniki “Sustainability in the built environment for climate change mitigation”, which will be held in Thessaloniki from 23 to 25 October 2019.

SBE19 Thessaloniki, a peer-reviewed conference with focus on different aspects of sustainability in the built environment, is organized by the Laboratory of Building Construction and Building Physics of the Department of Civil Engineering, A.U.Th., within the framework of SBE series.

In overall, SBE19 – Thessaloniki attempts to address a large palette of issues concerning sustainability and consider their interrelation with regard to climate change. The conference topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Climate change: status, adaptation and mitigation strategies,
• Energy and environmental performance of buildings and built environment,
• Zero energy – emissions – lifecycle emissions buildings,
• Renewable energy in the built environment,
• Renovation and upgrading of buildings and urban areas,
• Environmental performance assessment of buildings and built environment: methods, tools and certification schemes,
• Policies, regulations and standards,
• Economic and social issues,
• Education,
• Building Physics.

Abstract submission: December 21, 2018, January 15^th, 2019

Full paper Submission: April 15, 2019

After peer review the papers will be published in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science -indexed in Scopus-.Also, selected papers will be under consideration for publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Energy Research (IF: 3.009).
